Food & Beverage Manager

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of our food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and quality standards. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of kitchen and service staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing revenue through strategic menu planning and cost control measures.

Develop and implement food and beverage policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company standards.

Hire, train, and supervise kitchen and service staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Create and update menus in collaboration with the culinary team, taking into account seasonal availability, customer preferences, and cost considerations.

Monitor food and beverage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed and implementing inventory control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipe standards.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote food and beverage offerings, attract new customers, and increase sales.

Monitor customer satisfaction levels, soliciting feedback and implementing improvements to enhance the dining experience.

Manage food and beverage budgets, tracking expenses and revenues, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and best practices, and incorporate innovative ideas into food and beverage operations.
