Phlebotomist
Responsibilities
- To take a blood sample as per SOPs as follows:
- Greeting with a Professional Attitude in a good manner.
- Verify from the Patient all the particulars mention on Registration Lab Bill.
- Read the Request form before phlebotomy.
- Patient's Posture properly relaxed with arm support.
- Explain the procedure to the patient.
- Prepare all the Material According to Lab bill.
- Put on Gloves & Mask.
- Apply Tourniquet.
- Palpate & Examine the arm.
- Wipe the selected area with a properly clear vein with alcohol swab.
- Tight the needle and release the air of the syringe.
- Insert the needle.
- Release tourniquet when all samples have been collected.
- Apply firm pressure 30-60 seconds with alcohol swab.
- Apply plaster when the bleeding stopped.
