Product Owner

Product Owner:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join our team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for guiding the success of our product and working with a cross-functional team to transform ideas into product requirements. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our customers, which include pretrial service agencies, jail and prison facilities, specialty courts, and probation and parole agencies, can effectively utilize our solutions to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product vision and strategic objectives.

Create product requirements for prioritized ideas from the product backlog.

Communicate the product vision, priorities, and requirements to the development team and ensure that they are understood.

Work closely with the development team to ensure that features are delivered on time and meet the defined acceptance criteria.

Continuously gather feedback from stakeholders and customers to drive product improvements.

Act as the primary point of contact for product-related questions and decisions.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in both product management and the criminal justice sector.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment.

Experience in documenting UI workflow and front- and back-end software systems.

Strong understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

Knowledge of product management tools such as JIRA and AHA

Familiarity with API documentation and markup languages (e.g., Swagger).

Experience with web portals and/or mobile applications

Familiarity with the full suite of Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Experience with mission critical, CRM, or ERP software applications

Prior experience or knowledge of the United States criminal justice system.
