Snr. Liferay Developer

Ltd. is a leading consulting, design and systems integration firm focused on helping major enterprises build digital experiences with leading open source and cloud-based software is seeking a Senior Liferay Developer in our software engineering department for the planning, design, development, and deployment of innovative and enterprise-grade Liferay DXP and Portal applications. We build and deliver unique solutions to major enterprise clients from around the globe.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

Five years hands-on experience with Liferay Portal and DXP Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals

Strong problem-solving skills

Good communication skills

Experience in developing customised solutions using Liferay

Experience in building e-learning solutions using Valamis CE and Enterprise.

Strong candidates will also possess hands-on experience with many of the following:

Languages: Java, JavaScript, Backbone JS, Backbone Marionette, XML, JSON

Portal Development: Liferay and/or other Java enterprise portal development, Valamis CE, Valamis Enterprise Edition

Web Servers: Apache HTTPD, Nginx

App Servers: Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty

Frameworks: Spring, SpringMVC, Angular, React, Node.js OSGi

Standards/Protocols: ReST, SOAP, HTTP(S), TCP/IP, LDAP, SAML, CAS

Operating Systems: Linux, Mac OSX, iOS and Android

Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL

Dev Tools: git, svn, Intellij IDEA or Eclipse, JIRA

Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline

At least 5 years design and development experience in Liferay, Enterprise Java, Spring Framework and related technologies

At least 3 years experience in one or more of the following technologies: content management systems, enterprise portals, enterprise search, e-commerce, enterprise-grade mobile apps

Experience designing and developing large scale, high traffic business-critical enterprise applications
