Network Engineer

Job Description

We immediately require candidate for the position of “network engineer” with 2- 3 years of experience in networking / system administration preferably in software development industry.

This position will be responsible to assist team lead in installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of internet/network hardware and software.

Analyze the processes and recommend improvements.

Hands on experience on cisco switches l2, l3 and firewalls.

Monitor and analyze systems performance and perform capacity planning activities, test data and recommend hardware or software for purchase.

Security event monitoring & assessment.

Should have knowledge in remote management.

Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of network infrastructure

Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.

Skills:

Basic networking protocols. (ip, icmp, snmp, wmi, vlans, switching, routing

Showing persistence, perseverance, and determination

Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in overcoming challenging situations

Showing resolve in searching for alternative solutions to problems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Tools:

Microsoft server 2008/2012/2016

Active directory, dns, dhcp

Nms (solarwinds/zabbix/nagios/junos etc)

Wds, backups
