Android Java Developer

Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements capture and analysis working with manager and end customers

Write readable, maintainable, performant high quality object-oriented Java

Core platform development using Java (Android studio)

QA Testing – unit and system testing to ensure product meets quality

Code review: Experience with GIT, reviewing/ pushing code using GitHub and merging code branches

Other duties and responsibilities as directed.

Designing, coding, integrating and debugging applications in different software languages

Ensure adherence to standards and best practices (e.g. source code control, code reviews etc.)

Conduct performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation testing

Interact with the Project Manager frequently and provide feedback on progress, alert him of risks and help the PM develop a strategy to mitigate these risks.

Explore new frameworks,tools and technologies

Professional Qualifications

Deep understanding of modern Android development

You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high quality code

You have released at least one app or have a project in the works that you can tell us about

You have great communication skills and initiative to connect all of the dots and work with your peers

You have experience in driving technical projects from beginning to end

Proven experience of writing high quality code in Java

Self-starter, motivated and passionate

Team working and results driven

Effective communication with different types of audience

Bachelors in Computer Science from a reputed University

1 to 3 years of work experience in developing native android app.

Experience of publishing apps to play store

Experience in other open source technologies like apache, linux, java, node.js would be beneficial.

Good analysis and designing skills with very good OOP and RDBMS/NoSQL database concepts.

Work experience in distributed system environment will be an added advantage.

Should have good technical documentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with an ability to learn quickly
