Principal/Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work on a suite of sophisticated web applications, built with J2EE, Struts, JSP, Perl, Ext JS, Sencha Touch, Velocity, and supporting Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE browsers

• Work with a team of smart, capable, passionate front-end and server-side developers

• Solve hard problems with cutting-edge technology and creativity

• Constantly be learning and pushing your understanding of the technology, techniques, and tricks of software development.

Skills:

• Strong computer science fundamentals including advanced data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading

• Architectural design work

• Hands-on development and testing

• Mentoring staff, conducting code reviews, and writing technical documentation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills

• Experience developing large-scale applications

• Familiar with SQL, application servers, and servlets

• Experience designing and testing systems with large data through put and capacity needs

• Experience trouble shooting performance related issues on medium to large scale projects

• Knowledge of Tomcat or Web Sphere application servers

• Experience with HTML, JSP, and Perl

• Knowledge of Struts or Velocity Apache projects

• Experience in both Linux and Windows environments deploying Java systems
