Assistant Scientist (Genetics and Plant Breeding-Vegetable), ACI Seed
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure annual and quarterly action plan.
- Collect and screen germplasms based on crop season.
- Prepare field lay-out, follow plan and design of selfing, sibbing, test crossing etc. as suggested by immediate supervisor.
- Conduct seasonal and annual trial, data record and data analysis based on action plan.
- Develop and select new inbred/parent lines and hybrids.
- Maintain inbred/parent lines.
- Supervise respective breeder assistant, pollinators, labor and other staff within the group.
- Hands-on involvement with field experiments, computer skills and office operations.
- Generate seasonal, quarterly and annual field research report.
- Participate in budget preparation and annual performance appraisal.
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 3 year(s)
Additional Requirements
- Age 27 to 33 years
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience is preferable
- Excellent communication, presentation & reporting skills
