Assistant Merchandiser (Woven)

Job Responsibilities

Communicating with buyers by mail (mostly) for new queries as well as updates,

Meeting with vendors for trims & accessories

Assist merchandiser to Plan for new season sampling and production orders & meet the shipment timely

Collecting of garment samples, trims and different types of swatches from the vendors,

Submission of samples to buyer through courier,

Follow up with buyers for approvals and feedback,

Follow up factories for production, Sample development /Follow up

Assist line Manager to meet the shipment timely

Perform all other job assigned by Department Head/ Line Manager.

Plan and follow and manage T & A on sales samples, order samples and bulk order.

Has knowledge about fabric knitting and dying.

Sourcing new fabrics/trims /embellishments/factories/mills.

The candidate should be technically sound in Garments costing & manufacturing process.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor degree in any discipline

Bachelor/ Masters in Textile Engineering or BBA / MBA in Apparel Merchandising from Reputed Universities.

Experience Requirements

2 to 4 year(s)

Additional Requirements

Age 25 to 30 years

Only males are allowed to apply

Positive minded for good work.

Candidates must have the ability to monitor activities from sampling/development, production up to shipment.

Attentive manner towards detailed requirements is essential.

Strong experience knit costing sourcing and production tracking activities.

Strong technical knowledge in yarn construction, washing, cutting, sewing, trims & accessories.

Having excellent product knowledge with capacity of handing very demanding customers.

Make sure Time of delivery is on time.
