Journalist
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information
- Assemble findings into a stable story
- Write and deliver news stories with the reader's perspective in mind
- Understanding of topics related to business segment writing.
- Overseeing the layout, appearance and content of feature articles.
- Generating ideas for articles and features.
- Reading, writing and researching features and articles.
- Selecting feature articles for each issue and planning publication contents.
- Confidence and the ability to work in a fast-paced/ deadline-oriented environment.
- Ensuring that all feature articles comply with ethical codes of practice and legal guidelines.
- Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
- Develop story ideas based on leads or as assigned by conducting research, investigating and observing
- Arrange interviews with notable individuals
- Convert stories to be posted on company website, and create social media posts to drive traffic to the website
Additional Requirements
- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- Age at least 24 years
- Fresher's are also encouraged to apply
- A Levels/ Graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of writing experience in print media or digital media.
- Contributors/ fresher's are also encouraged to apply.
- A basic understanding of search engine optimization and digital platform.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest current events in the "beat" by studying papers, attending events etc.
