Deputy Project Manager/ Assistant Technical Specialist (Architect), HCMP

Job Context

BRAC is one of the world`s leading development organisation. Since 1972 BRAC is dedicated to alleviating poverty and empowerment of the poor. In continuation to that, BRAC has taken Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox`s Bazar district to support the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar and host community people.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and develop architectural design as per the agreement/ needs of the project proposal and programme

Produce detailed drawing work of the structure according to plan

Visit field to monitor sites construction work and to identify fabrication and modification need

Ensure representation and coordination of HCMP with ISCG (Inter Sector Coordination Group), national and local authorities, INGOs and other Sectors

Conduct need assessment survey of different structure on the basis of beneficiaries / users demand and need

Develop advanced visualization and analysis system to communicate with different stakeholders

Ensure work quality or output for best services to the FDMN and host community

Maintain proper archive management for further reference

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

Graduate in Architect / Civil Engineer

Experience Requirements

At least 2 year(s)

Additional Requirements

knowledge with AutoCAD, sketch up, Eco Tect 2D, 3D , Rhino Etc

Knowledge on coordination, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding.

Knowledge on people management.

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive environment.

Effective communication and presentation skills.

Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel).

Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills.

Excellent organization, and coordination skills.

Demonstrated ability to think technically, prioritize and meet deadlines in a complex and challenging environment; must be culturally sensitive.

Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as part of diverse teams.
