Associate Officer, Lab (BRAC Artificial Insemination Enterprise)
Job Responsibilities
- To receive semen and formulate slide preparation, dilution, racking and freezing.
- Actively participate in all functions of semen processing and directly participate with the production of quality semen, embryo and ovum as well keeping record.
- Maintain semen counting, preservation and dispatch to the respective unit
- To do quality egg collection and media preparation.
- To up-date of all register such as semen straw, lab material, loss semen etc.
- Provide routinely LN2 in semen Bank/wide mouth.
- Strong Bio-security of semen process lab as well as bull station.
- Take steps to maintain hygiene and sanitation of processing lab and maintain good laboratory practice
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

- Technically sound on Lab related knowledge such as lab operation, animal semen process machine
- Sound knowledge on Bovine semen process
- Sound knowledge on semen handling
- Knowledge on LN2 handling.
