Research Assistant
Job Responsibilities
- RISC currently seeks a highly motivated individual for the role of Research Assistant. This role will be responsible for supporting specified research work packages. Key tasks include:
- Transcribe and translate interviews (involving 50% + time)
- Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as required as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Attend project meetings and trainings as necessary
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to support research.
- The balance of duties may vary during the project depending on different stages of the project.
Additional Requirements
- Skills & proficiencies:
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both Bengali and English
- Very good typing skills in both Bengali and English
- Ability to transcribe interviews
- Translating from Bengali to English and vice versa.
- Experience with planning and coordinating events
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Able to interpret and follow complex instructions and tasks
- Time Management
- Essential Qualifications :
- Excellent typing and translation skills in Bengali and English
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior experience in or knowledge of an area related to RISC, e.g. RMG, supply chains, governance, policy, social sustainability, gender, labor.
- Experience in qualitative research.
