General Teacher
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and follow lesson plans
- Adjust for the children in the class
- Prepare materials for classes
- Sets targets that are possible for children to reach
- Communicate with students' parents or guardians
- Record information about students regularly
- Provide information for student reports and meetings
- Record attendance and absence of students
- Supervise students during break times as scheduled
- Maintain and upgrade personal teaching skills
- Plan and use a variety of teaching activities that encourages
- ? moving around,
- ? manipulating objects,
- ? contemplating issues,
- ? discussing concepts and
- ? solving problems.
- Ensure that all children are engaged and working
- Encourage those who are not at the same level as the class
- Challenge those who do well
- Maintain continuous learning attitude (academic and behavioural)
Additional Requirements
- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- Teaching skills (able to care for and communicate with children and to think about the different ways they learn), strong interpersonal skills, willingness to work with children with special needs and accept input while learning new skills. Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing are a must. Ability to type in English preferred.
- *Please express your preferred subject interest clearly and list previous teaching experience. (We require staff to teach Science, or Maths to children age 8 to 12 years.)
