Support Service Offcer

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in the supervision of projects and supervises and coordinates the work of contractors;
• Direct, coordinate and plan essential administrative services such as maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling, vehicle maintenance, ground maintenance.
• Manage relevant vendor/supplier relationships, and oversee property and facility management
• Work alongside LAMB Engineer to provide development opportunities to maintenance and vehicle staff members
• Collaborates with other the Support Service Director to assist in the creation and implementation of the appropriate budgets.
• Coordinates with partnering organizations to assess their needs from a Support Service standpoint.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of departments and staff through the tracking and reporting of performance metrics (KPIs)
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
• Work according to LAMB policies and procedures; reviews/ proposes policies related to administration
• Involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations of buildings and premises to include areas of: properties, facilities & space management; building and grounds maintenance; vehicle maintenance; cleaning; health and safety utilities infrastructure (including generator and WATSAN); and new construction oversight
• Ensures inter-departmental communication by acting as a liaison between Support Services and other LAMB departments

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Administration or related field but Masters in Administration preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Age at least 25 years
• Both males and females are allowed to apply
• At least five years experience in Supervision. Demonstrated knowledge of facility management, equipment allocation and maintenance, inventory management. Ability to speak, read and write English.
