Job Responsibilities

The role: Deputy Manager - Treasury and Payables plays a critical leadership role in the Finance team at Cox's Bazar through ensuring sound financial management and financial compliance of Cox's Bazar Area Office related projects. Reporting to Senior Manager-Finance, Cox's Bazar and mainly being responsible for maintaining the financial operation standards/ protocol for CXB Office in line with SCiBD Financial Policies & Procedures Manual and compliance with the donor and government of Bangladesh (GoB) rules and regulations, the Deputy Manager - Treasury and Payables critically reviews all transactions before payment in line with SCI standards of basic financial documentation and the daily GLACOS entries before sign off of Senior Manager-Finance for posting. The role player ensures compliance on VAT & Tax issue and represents finance team in local procurement committee. S/he regularly collaborates with CO finance team and project leads of CXB for smooth delivery of financial services and support.

Additional Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in Finance, preferably in I/NGOs in any mid-level/managerial position, including 3 years in management position
- Experience of working in emergency/Humanitarian projects is highly preferable. Working experience and updated knowledge on Tax/VAT is non-negotiable
- Demonstrated and hands-on experience in managing large financial systems and financial reporting
- Proven track record in managing treasury and solid understanding of banking and fund management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill both in Bangla & English.
- Proficiency in relevant software like Accounting Information Systems (AIS) management software as well as advanced level expertise in Excel, Word and relevant MS office software.
