Project Manager - Engineering, MPDS Project
Job Responsibilities

The role: The Project Manager - Engineering is mainly responsible for overall monitoring and supervision of new construction work, WASH activities, earthwork, supporting IEE and others civil construction/repairing work to be implemented in Bandarban district. S/he will provide support Project Officers - DRR & EiE to monitor and implementation of DRR and EiE interventions in project areas. The incumbent will work closely with consortium Senior Technical Coordinator (infrastructure)/Infrastructure Manager and responsible to supervise Senior/Project Officers-Engineering to implementation construction work and maintain accountability of the project activities following Save the Children code of conduct and core humanitarian Standard. S/he will be responsible for providing support and enhance capacity of the partners and respective project staff. S/he will also provide support and technical inputs into the development, implementation and monitoring of the project and maintain close coordination with Save the Children field unit, District and Local Government and collaboration with implementing partners.

Additional Requirements
- At least 6 years of working experience, preferably in civil repairing/refurbishing work
- Demonstrated experience on structural work designing, BOQ, estimating, drawing and environmental survey, recovery and rehabilitation including emergency livelihood
- Experience in managing complex projects related to engineering and disaster risk reduction drives for children and young people, with a policy influencing dimension.
- Good knowledge on Shelter repairing/refurbishment and cash transfer activities
- Should have capacity to work in any situation during emergency and capacity building ability of project staff
- Ability and willingness to travel widely in program areas
- Excellent spoken, and writing skills in English & Bangla
- Ability to produce quality analytical reports and facilitate discussion at various levels
