Gwadar (Trade) Free Zone:
First International Expo Inauguration
The first International Trade Expo was inaugurated in January by the Government of Pakistan. This is the first step in establishing a trade free zone through Gwadar to China, as part of the CPEC partnership. The initial investment of about 30 companies is combined to be around 474$ Million. With further investments expected as the Expo moves on. The major benefits of this corridor have already started to trickle in, with the effect on the State’s balance of payment and the high foreign investment index. This would, in the future benefit the overall foundation of the country’s economy, whilst also putting Gwadar on the Map with regards to international Trade.
