Data Specialist

Job Description :

Role Purpose

. A role within Data Centre of Excellence reporting to the Directorates Advisory & DMaaS Lead responsible for specific Directorates to support them in maturing their Data Management capability.

. Plays a key role in the developing and maintaining the Bank's Data ownership model . Provides a cross Bank interface to the other teams and services within the Data Services area.

. Acts as a subject matter expert for the Data Management Policy implementation to improve Data Management across the Bank Data Directorate Support

. Fosters positive relationships with Data Domains/Stewards to ensure clarity in understanding obligations under the Data Management Policy

. Educate Data Owners/Stewards in formally articulating the link between Data Issues and Business Risk

. Acts as a cross Bank subject matter expert for Data Governance and Data Management

. Promotes adherence to Data Services procedures and standards Skils & Knowledge . Strong stakeholder management skills

. Working well in a team, sharing ideas and knowledge . Able to respond well under pressure

. Able to take own initiative and know when to escalate issues

. Strong written / oral communication and influencing skills with a positive attitude.

. The ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet all deadlines

. Ability to provide recommendations for process/procedural changes

. Ability to influence key stakeholders

. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

. Strong Technical and Business Analysis Skills

. Eye for detail and accuracy Note: Should work in UK shift
