Technical Analyst - Product Design & Development (Ba)

Job Description :

Takes ownership of business requirements and issues in the overall context of the processes of a relevant insurance organization or market e.g. Lloyd's, London Market, global operations, or large commercial insurers. Core skills needed are around understanding of Policy Admin Systems as well as Downstream Systems like warehouse and accounting systems like Coda.

Understands, investigates, develops and improves business processes.

Understands and assists clients to formulate and clearly express business objectives and their relation to any strategic goals.

Considers and proposes solutions whether in terms of overall application architecture, enhancements, configuration, new or improved processes, or better use of existing facilities.

Presents, documents, and discusses solutions in a knowledgeable, credible and convincing manner to all levels of seniority, externally and internally.

Communicates clearly and unambiguously to developers and others, and helps to analyze and resolve issues.

Support

Investigate reported problems or requested enhancements

Understand business context and requirements

Consider and propose alternative solutions, gain client agreement and document

Communicate to developers and support managers

Ad Hoc investigations or other activities as required

Conduct annual performance reviews of the project team and prepare development plans for the team.

Implementation

Understand business objectives of the project

Help to shape and analyse requirements and gain client agreement

Liaise with project management and developers on potential solutions or approaches

Produce clear, understandable and accurate business specifications.

Walk through with developers and others to ensure understanding answer queries and resolve issues and document

Conduct investigations as required and write well-structured and considered reports.

Manage work streams or activities as required with minimal supervision

Support the project management on any non-technical tasks which require assistance, for example planning, risk analysis, issue management etc.

Training

Organize, prepare and deliver business-oriented training courses as required

Support internal knowledge transfer programmes as well as client related training
