Bid Manager

Provides leadership and guidance to the bid team / key stakeholders throughout the pursuit lifecycle and is responsible for all aspects of the pursuit process. Performs an active role in the communication and execution of the deal strategy. Has a detailed knowledge of pursuit management technique, tools and best practices.

Leads the bid process from qualification through to proposal submission, and negotiations through to contract signature. Manages bid schedule, budget, resources and high quality deliverables, development of a coherent proposition leading to successful deal closure in accordance with the Pursuit Support Model (PSM).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Pursuit Management

Is accountable for the end to end quality of the deal

Accountable for bid planning, best practices, critical path, resource needs, B&P budget and deal orchestration

Understands and leads the opportunity through the PSM, ensuring end-to-end compliance with company processes and corporate policies

Ensures clean close down of pursuit as defined within the PSM and in accordance with local requirements including handover of key artefacts and briefing of contract highlights to the delivery team

Conducts pursuit efforts including pursuit planning, presentations, concepts, visit reports, customer responses, internal coordination and periodic reviews

Establishes and achieves deal timelines, approvals, governance and cadence

Provides assistance with and background information on the proposal to assist with closing the deal

Coordinates bid team resources and interdependencies between multiple and multi-disciplinary teams to develop a high-quality solution and proposal, that meets client objectives and showcases DXCs capabilities
