Trainee/Junior Software Developer

The Division:

IDS (a Constellation Software company) is hiring a Trainee/Junior Software Developer. We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic software developer who is passionate about tools and enjoys working with multiple projects and a wide range of technologies.

The Position:

We are looking for Trainee/Junior Software Developers to join one of our R&D teams. The selected candidates will be trained for 3 to 3.5 months to become good developers capable of working on enterprise-level applications. After the end of the internship period, there is a good possibility of full-time employment based on satisfactory performance during the internship.

The chosen individuals will work out of the Contour Software Karachi resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department. The candidate must be willing to work on the Universe/PICK Tech stack for 2 years.

Near the end of the 2 years, we will provide and/or pay for training on our modern tech stacks (e.g. React, C#, etc.)

Have the team member transition to the web/mobile development team after the 2 year time period

Required Qualifications & Skills:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Good programming concepts.

Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Comfortable with SQL queries, and basic database development concepts.

Understanding of object-oriented programming and principles.

Knowledge of REST APIs.

Experience and knowledge of Git.

A quick learner, with attention to detail, and the commitment to meet deadlines.

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices

Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
