SQA Engineer

Job Description:

• Obtain domain understanding of the project
• Understand and evaluate the scope and effort involved
• Review all documents like; analysis, requirement & functional specifications etc. and give feedback
• Assure that all the issues raised during review are resolved and understood
• Identify potential bottlenecks, problem areas and risks to the concerned team lead for resolution
• Create scenario matrices and test cases on assigned tasks
• Log the defects in defect tracking tool and update their status as they change
• Perform the regression after receiving bugs fix patches and each new build
• Participate in meetings with team lead and development team leads for resolution of disputed bugs
• Maintain and promote conducive work environment by helping and guiding junior colleagues
• Execute the test cases & test shipment package as per instructions
• Execute automated test scripts (if applicable)Apply best testing practices, effective test case writing practices and can work independently

Skill set:

• Trained in software quality control and bug tracking & reporting
• Knowledge of writing test cases, test matrices, test data generation and execution of test plans
• Knowledge of system and data driven testing using black box technique
• Capable to understand the system from functional specification
• Capable to provide test estimates and test strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
