Construction Manager

Job Description

Assemble and coordinate the team required for each project, schedule scope walk visits with appropriate team members and populate scope documents for review and approval.

Responsible for setting up estimates, budgets and construction schedules. Prepare takeoffs for all finishes.

Work with designated purchasing manager to assemble an all-in budget for submission and approval from upper management.

Review contracts and proposals for inclusion and accuracy with directors.

Work with Head office staff to determine the weekly schedule to minimize displacement.

Plan and conduct pre-construction meetings with all appropriate contractors, management company representatives and the appropriate team member.

Coordinate and conduct weekly on-site property inspections for all renovations and new construction projects to ensure the project meets franchise and company quality standards.

Conduct punch list walk-through inspections with contractors to verify all scopes of work are completed to brand standard and compliance.

Ensure that all job sites are maintained, organized and clean.

Ensure that all the employees working at site should be well versant with his job responsibilities

Responsible to prepare SOP’s for site working & ensure execution

Verify all contractors bills /work , conducting regular safety meetings and other regulatory rules are being followed at site.

Monitor and track monthly draws.

Review and qualify all change orders, recommending approval to Competent Authority.

Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in construction or renovation of buildings work with proven training, team building, and problem-solving skills.

Solid knowledge of construction and hotel industry terminology.

Results-oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Well-developed written and oral communications skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
