Cyber Security Operations Team Lead

Horizon Technologies is looking for a Team Lead, Cybersecurity Operations who will provide leadership and expertise throughout the enterprise, this includes all Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) technologies.

Responsible for providing expertise in evaluating, developing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated cyber security operations program to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the client's information and operational technology and data assets. Team Lead, Cybersecurity

Operations works closely with various IT to ensure that policies, procedures, and practices are in place and are being adhered to. General responsibilities of this position include managing security operations, vendor management for all security-related products and services, ensuring compliance to standards throughout the organization and remaining up to date on all matters relevant to security technology issues.

Key Job Functions

Coach and direct information security associates to help increase their effectiveness and to facilitate their growth and development

Lead the implementation of SIEM technology and operationalized it across various business lines.

Plan and manage information security initiatives and projects to ensure that objectives, schedules and budgets are met

Coordinate information security activities and projects with other groups to ensure effective definition, development, and implementation of appropriate information security measures

Lead research projects to identify and review emerging trends in information and technology security measures and approaches

Provide managers reports and trend analysis on information security

Perform periodic security audits of the department’s systems, servers, endpoints and applications

Manage all functional and administrative aspects of the Cybersecurity Operations Group

Recruit all required staff for the team, providing performance criteria and reviews and conducting annual performance appraisals for staff

Education and Experience

University degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent, combined with several years of directly related and progressively responsible experience working in the area of security within an IT environment

Additional Requirements

Expert-level knowledge of Information Security and risk frameworks, maturity models, standards, Privacy law, relevant regulatory requirements, principles, and reference architectures (i.e. ISO 2700x, ITIL, COBIT, CASL, MFIPPA, PHIPA, PCI DSS, ITSG04

TRAs);

Possession of an industry-recognized information security certification (i.e. CISM, CISSP) is a requirement

Extensive knowledge of diverse network security architecture planning and design and security risks affecting wired and wireless networks

Expert level experience in managing cybersecurity operations, vendors, and internal team members and stakeholders

Strong knowledge of security testing, assessments, and audit methodologies and tools including but not limited to application technology security testing (white box, black box and code review), threat risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and PEN testing;

Extensive experience in a combination of risk management, Information Security, and IT positions
