Junior Officer - Risk & Compliance

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Maintain close contact and liaise with the relevant regulatory and other governmental authoritative bodies as and when required i.e. SECP (Regulator), FMU, ANF, other law enforcement agencies etc.
• Maintain sound relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders i.e. Head Office, Corporate office and regional offices.
• Compliance reporting i.e. written reports to Compliance Officer.
• Informing organizational units of their legal and ethical duties along with relevant supporting regulatory material.
• Assisting staff in interpreting different laws related to their work areas.
• Assisting Compliance Officer in compliance management which includes the implementation of compliance controls, processes and procedures to make business and organization compliant with the applicable laws of the land.
• Assisting Compliance Officer for Jubilee Life’s effective compliance relating to, but not limited to,:
• Insurance Ordinance 2000 and the Rules and Regulations made thereunder;
• Companies Ordinance 1984 and the Rules and Regulations made thereunder;
• Companies Act 2017 and the Rules and Regulations made thereunder;
• Listing Regulations;
• Anti-Money Laundering laws, Rules and Regulations, and related Directives; and
• Overseeing the implementation of relevant corporate policies of Jubilee Life including those related to Good Governance, Whistle Blowing, AML/CFT and others.
• Assisting Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with the requirements and recommendations of international bodies and laws such as Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Asia Pacific Group (APG), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Common Reporting Standard (CRS), International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) etc.
• Assisting Compliance Officer to place and implement an effective, suitable and compatible Risk Management System within Jubilee Life.
