Alumni Relations Lead

Job Description

Spearhead the operations and lead the team of the Alumni Relations Unit under the umbrella of Advancement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Devising and planning the unit's strategic and long-term goals and annual activity plan.
  • Establishing sound communication avenues with LUMS alumni to keep them engaged and involved with the University.
  • Networking/relationship building with alumni.
  • Effectively addressing alumni complaints, requests, and queries.
  • Organizing and managing events i.e. annual alumni homecoming and other flagship events e.g. alumni reunions (local and international), guest speaker talks, mentorship sessions etc. This includes administering pre and post event logistics for all such events.
  • Reaching out to and coordinating with corporations and organizations to secure sponsorships for flagship alumni events/alumni magazine.
  • Supervision of all social media pages related to Alumni Relations.
  • Working with internal departments e.g. Office of Development to raise funds from alumni.
  • Managing the LUMS Alumni Annual magazine content, sponsorships, vendors, printing etc.
  • Management of the Alumni Relations budget.
  • Liaising with LUMS departments like HR, procurement and administration for logistical support etc.
  • Management of alumni chapters and ensuring their good governance and sound financial profiles.
  • Preparing progress reports/conducting surveys to analyze areas of improvement within the Alumni Relations area and making recommendations.
  • Managing the Alumni Relations team to keep them motivated.
  • Conducting surveys, writing papers/proposals for CASE

Travel & Work Schedule

Travel will be required both local and overseas. Working hours may extend into the evenings and weekends during peak cycles to accommodate the needs of workload and event schedules. Flexibility & commitment to deliver is a must.
