Deputy Manager Accounts

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and analytical support in management of the university’s financial activities as per defined financial policies, regulatory requirements, international accounting practices and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly & annual financial statements.
  • Ensuring timely reporting of the monthly management information.
  • Ensuring an accurate & timely monthly and year-end close.
  • Coordinating with internal/external auditors.
  • Overseeing tax filing process and coordination with tax consultants.
  • Proactive participation in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies & procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process & system changes.
  • Managing development of static reports and dynamic dashboards that provide complete, reliable, accurate and timely business information.
  • Collaboration with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of accounting standards and principles
  • Strong grip on MS Office
  • Taxation Laws
  • Corporate Governance
  • Working experience on SAP

Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical aptitude
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
