Job Description
Coach and train the University team, members and users of the swimming pool ensuring the safety of the users while conducting the training session.
Coach and train the LUMS community.
To supervise and ensure safety of the community and carry out rescues if required.
To plan and effectively organize class time for maximum practice of the University teams.
To assist the Swimming Pool Officer in the preparation and activities of the pool in a professional manner to ensure provision of high quality services to pool users.
To maintain the facility at a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
To assist in the opening and closing of the facility and assist in monitoring the security of the premises at all times.
To interact with the community responsibly and welcome all users of the facility promoting a positive image of the facility and provide high quality customer service. To comply with the Safe Operating Procedures at all times.
To maintain a vigilant watch of the swimming pool areas in accordance with the operating procedures and take immediate initiative and action to ensure the safety of all pool users.
To prepare a comprehensive program for the training & selection of LUMS swimming teams. Accompany the teams for Intervarsity championships.
Organize swimming competition for LUMS community and keep the data/record of teams and competitions.
To assist pool officer in maintaining sports activities, activity areas and stores in a clean, safe and tidy manner.
To lead in the preparation and management of events and activities, including the assembly and dismantling of equipment and minor repairs when required.
To perform routine checks of members receipts/cards to ensure proof of payment for entry to the swimming pool.
To ensure that all pool equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use.
Coach and evaluate students participating in swim lessons.
Submit complete report cards, skills sheets and attendance information on time.
Official working days: Official working days will be six days a week from Monday to Saturday or Sunday with one day off.
Time keeping: Must be on poolside at least 10 minutes before starting her shift. Inform the pool officer in case of late arrival.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
Ability to lead and motivate staff.
Ability to demonstrate skills as required for class content and use of teaching aids such as kickboards, diving rings, lifejackets, etc.
