Base & Facilities Officer

MSF-OCA is looking for a short term Base and Facilities Officer position for Northern Sindh Flood Response, based Sukkur City MSF offers a competitive package including (salary, leaves, medical coverage, training and career) and the opportunity to work for an internationally renowned humanitarian organization.

Summary of position:

Carrying out or supervising all maintenance logistics activities in the base (vehicles, fuel consumption, and local infrastructure) according to MSF standards and protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Management: The Base and Facility Officer is responsible for the management of all facilities, infrastructure and equipment of the MSF project in the field, including offices, living quarters, warehouses, water and sanitation facilities, power supply systems, communication and IT systems, and vehicles.

Maintenance and Repairs: The Base and Facility Officer ensures that all facilities, equipment and vehicles are maintained and repaired as needed, and that appropriate maintenance schedules and logs are kept.

Procurement: The Base and Facility Officer is responsible for coordinating the procurement of all necessary supplies and materials required to maintain the facilities and equipment of the project. This includes overseeing the procurement process and ensuring compliance with MSF procurement policies and procedures

Health and Safety: The Base and Facility Officer ensures that all facilities and equipment are in compliance with MSF health and safety standards, and takes necessary action to mitigate any identified hazards or risks.

Security: The Base and Facility Officer works closely with the Project Coordinator and Security Officer to ensure that all facilities and equipment are secure, and that staff are trained and briefed on security protocols.

Logistics: The Base and Facility Officer works closely with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure that all facilities and equipment are supported by the logistics supply chain, and that all logistical needs are met

Requirements for the position:

Education: Essential Secondary Education

Experience: Desirable experience with other NGOs

Language: English language essential; Sindhi and Urdu essential

Knowledge: Computer literacy and radio equipment user-knowledge
