Country Water Hygiene & Sanitation (WHS) Manager

Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, public health engineering or related fields
• Specialist in water & sanitation (MSF WEDEC I- II training an asset)
• Desirable: A relevant postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering, public health engineering or related fields

Experience:

• Desirable: MSF experience in a relevant field (WHS, public health engineering Health Care Waste Management, Vector Control, Hygiene Promotion, HIV/AIDS and human rights) or with an INGO or other sector (e.g. private company).
• Experience in management and coaching others

Languages:

• Good command of English and any other relevant local languages

Competences:

• Good understanding of the role and position of WHS in MSF;
• Good understanding of both ‘software’ and ‘hardware’ WHS issues
• Computer literate – MS Word and Excel
• Strong organization, assessment and analytical skills
• Ability to organize & priorities workload independently, using initiative when appropriate; pro-active, flexible and honest
• Good communication and team management skills.
• Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and international team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing work situation, in case of emergencies to work longer hours, extra days and to change duty station if necessary
