Job Description

Accountabilities

1. Attendance and involvement at work:

§ make sure the MSF charter.

§ have to perform all activity with the MSF protocols

§ Must value time schedule

§ Treat the patient with good quality care.

§ ensures the patient privacy

§ Maintain decent relationship with other team members.

§ carry out MSF Clinical Guidelines and protocols.

§ Notify direct supervisor in event of medical error.

2. Execution of series

Providing technical expertise in the domains of gynecology and obstetrics:

§ Must participate in the rounds carried out in the different hospital units: maternity department and IPD.

§ Talk over particular cases with the health care team

§ Confirming registers and health files are filled in correctly.

§ ensuring the quality of obstetrical care in Maternity department in collaboration with midwife

§ make sure that the NBU staff is properly informed of interventions that are at high risk for new-born complications

In Operation Theatre:

§ Make sure elective and emergency surgical interventions according to with MSF protocols.

§ Make sure the patients’ pre-operative consultations before they undergo surgery in collaboration with the anesthetist

§ Valuing the risks of operating

§ Observing the rational use of surgical material during interventions.

§ Observing the application of hygiene protocols in theatre

§ Confirming that the register for the operating theatre is kept well-run.

Post-operative caution

§ Make sure joint rounds in the IPD in collaboration with the anesthetist.

§ Assuring the application of MSF protocols (ATB, dressing protocols, etc.)

Furthermore

§ Join in on-going personnel training

§ must take part to the weekly training session proposing and presenting topics.

§ Participating in medical meetings, preparing case presentation weekly and when necessary.

§ Must work in collaboration with all the staff, supervise and guide them.
