Gynecologist (Pool of Daily Workers)

Job Description

Médecins Sans Frontières is recruiting Gynecologists for the pool of daily workers of the Women’s Hospital in Peshawar:

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

To participate in the rounds carried out in the different hospital units: maternity department and IPD

To carry out certain consultations and practicing delicate technical acts if necessary/outside the scope of practice for the general doctor

To check that medical protocols and prescriptions are followed by the health care personnel in accordance with MSF guidelines

In collaboration with midwife to ensure the quality of obstetrical care in Maternity department

To carry out elective and emergency surgical interventions in accordance with MSF protocols

To carry out the patients’ pre-operative consultations before they undergo surgery

To carry joint rounds in the IPD in collaboration with the anaesthetist

To guarantee the application of MSF protocols (ATB, dressing protocols, etc.) and the rational use of medicines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CONDITIONS:

MCPS (Gynaecology) or Diploma of Gynaecology, PMDC registered

Previous experience as a Gynaecologist is required

Fluent in English, Pashto and Urdu

Good clinical skills, Teamwork, Flexibility, Patience, Diplomatic communication, Commitment, Reporting skills, Stress management,

WORK LOCATION: Peshawar

CONTRACT: Daily Worker

Hiring will be done on a rolling basis
