Emergency Response Coordinator

Responsibilities

· Lead and Manage a team of Medical Professional and support staff at the project site/s

· Close liaison and Coordination with Government, Other Humanitarian actors and stake holders.

· Responsible for ensuring the availability of services and medical supplies as per standards.

· Provide active input in services planning & to ensure that the project is implemented as per developed plans.

· Build capacity of Medical Staff in fulfilling the assigned tasks.

· Monitor the progress per health facility supported according to KPIs, baseline and target set and ensure improvement where necessary.

· Ensure that project implemented according to technical standards in timely manners.

· Work closely with senior management and field teams to inform operational needs of the services offered within the scope of funding.

· Ensure that early warning systems and contingency plans are in place at the supervised health facility for investigation and control of large outbreak of infectious diseases and other health issues of concern.

· Oversee Accurate and timely reporting of data and statistics for the project in accordance to the agreed internal and funding reporting requirements.

· Ensure that appropriate standard treatment protocols and services improvement tools are, available at all the staff are trained in their use.

· Review daily/weekly/monthly health statistics of the assigned health facilities and ensure appropriate actions.

· Ensure effective management of drugs, medical equipment and medical supplies at the supervised health facilities.

· Ensure proper and quality use of medical commodities and no stock out at the supervised health facilities.

· Ensure availability of supplies and quality services provision at the supervised health facilities.

· Evaluate services at the supervised health facility using checklists and tools, document and give appropriate feedback to the relevant staff.

· Regularly assess needs of the supervised health facilities and take appropriate actions.

· Hold and minute regular internal meetings among staff to ensure all staff are aware of key developments, overall strategy and have a clear understanding of their work.
