Emergency Response Coordinator

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities outlined below serve only as guidelines:

Overall technical and operational, ensure all project activities implemented as per the proposed plan in the targeted provinces.

Provide active input in services planning for the supported health facilities. Follow developed plans for services provision and ensure delivery in time, coordinating with relevant departments within and outside.

Monitor the progress of the supported health facilities as per established KPIs, baseline and set targets to ensure improvement where necessary.

Ensure that project is implemented according to national and international technical standards.

Work closely with senior management and field teams to inform operational needs of the services offered within the scope of funding.

Ensure that appropriate standard treatment protocols and services improvement tools are developed, available at all the health facilities and staff are trained in their use.

Ensure availability of supplies and quality services provision at the supported health facilities.

Ensure effective management of drugs, medical equipment and medical supplies at the supported health facilities.

Ensure appropriate and quality use of medical commodities and ensure no stock out at the supervised health facilities.

Ensure implementation of IPC and HCWM system at the supported Health Facilities according to national and international technical standards.

Regularly assess needs of the supervised health facilities and take appropriate actions.

Build capacity of Medical Staff in fulfilling the assigned tasks.

Hold and minute regular internal meetings of staff to ensure all staff are aware of key developments, overall strategy and have a clear understanding of their work.

Ensure that early warning system and contingency plans are in place at the supported health facilities for investigation and control of an outbreak.

Evaluate services at the supported health facility using approved checklists and tools, document and give appropriate feedback to the relevant staff.

Review daily/weekly/monthly health statistics of the assigned health facilities and ensure appropriate actions.

Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of data and statistics for the project in accordance to the agreed internal and funding reporting requirements.

Operational Management·

Plan for the Capacity the building of the project and service delivery staff by detecting training and developing needs and develop a training plan

Plan future projections of staffing and infrastructure capacity needs and forecast.

In close collaboration with finance team, budget preparation, monitor expenditure against planned activities address issues of under or overspending, budget amendments, etc. and prepare financial reports for the donor.

Ensure uninterrupted supply of medicine and consumables at all HFs, and ensuring that Pharmacy and logistic the team is monitoring consumption and raising purchase requests on time.

Ensure pharmacy management and warehousing protocols at the District warehouse and pharmacies.

Ensure that all programmatic reports (monthly, quarterly & annual) are submitted on time.

Program Development

Ensure all relevant authorities are included in the planning and implementation of projects as appropriate

Draw up plans, proposals, and budgets for new projects/extensions of projects in conjunction with the relevant team, medical and financial staff.

Proactively contribute to program development and strategy
