ICU Technician
Responsibilities
- Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, orders/stocks and maintains routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Daily care of patients present in ICU.
- Able to identify life threatining/ Serous conditions and inform the specialist/ Duty doctor prompily.
- Hourly monitoring of the patients in ICU i-e Vital etc.
- Should be familiar with the equipment present in ICU unit & their usage.
- Should be able to administer basic life support and familiar to work as a team player in advanced life support conditions.
- Assist in daily Ward rounds and record the orders in comprehensible manners.
- Administer medication and be able to carry out orders.
- Maintain reccord in clear and orderly fashion.
- Maintain and organize stock of medicine/oxygen equipment etc in ICU.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipments and reports defective equipment and equipment malfunctions appropriately/immediately.
- Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention control standards.
- Documents and maintains preventative maintenance and quality records.
- Assists with transport of patients and laboratory specimens as necessary.
- Ability to travel between facilities or other treatment locations as necessary.
