Essential Requirements:
Master’s in social sciences or equivalent, with experience in managing Trainings
Having 7 to 9 years experience in managing Trainings
Responsibilities
Support to implement and manage ALP Curriculum
Maintain Curriculum Standards for ALP
Liaise with DCTE to develop standards for material development, learning management and delivery systems that consider diversity of learners, and their context.
In coordination with DCTE, support to design and develop learning material for different learner groups /types in accordance with the approved curriculum, and periodically review the same
In coordination with DCTE design learning management and delivery models for different learning groups/types of learners in accordance with the learning system where the learners are engaged.
Set the policy and guidelines for co-curriculur activities that are supportive of the curricular programs
Ensure that all stakeholders working in the ALP Sector follow the curriculum, learning material and standards set by the ALP
Coordinate with DCTE for ALP Assessment & Certification Mechanism and its roll out
Implement the ALP policy guidelines for assessment and quality assurance in coordination with DCTE
Establish and implement policy standards and guidelines relevant to assessment and quality assurance of curriculum, material, learning & delivery process, and student learning outcomes (SLOs)
Link with national agencies for networking and benchmarking relevant to educational assessments and research
Advocate and promote the use of assessment, quality assurance and education research results for policy recommendations, review and enhancement of curriculum, capacity building planning, and other related processes
Support and coordinate to establish an acceptable system of accreditation to regulate affiliation and accreditation of institutions and service providers offering literacy, and non formal education.
Coordinate to develop Equivalency system of ALP Learners; and issuance of Certification as well as Equivalence Certification to learners
Coordinate all activities relating to assessment and examination (both formative and summative) for all ALP programmes
Coordinate with assessment bodies to make sure that assessment and examination arrangements are legally accurate and appropriate for continuing education
Coordinate with curriculum and materials experts and assessment bodies in designing and finalizing items bank (including pilot), developing question papers and coordinating with the administrative/ logistical stakeholders for implementation
Coordinate with district officer and other actors in effectively implementing assessment activities
Plan, execute and disseminate research related activities
Use research findings for improvement and coordinate with all relevant actors
To research globally adopted new ideas for development and upscaling of NFE/ALP
Training related:
Coordinate with PITE to conduct Needs Analysis for NFE Teacher/Facilitator Hiring/Capacity Building requirements
Coordinate for ALP Facilitators’ Capacity Development and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Mechanism
Develop operational & administrative plan for CPD and ensure smooth and timely implementation of the plan in coordination with PITE
Coordinate with DCTE to develop Training Manuals for Teachers/Facilitators, including Mentoring techniques as well.
Ensure implementation of ALP Teachers’ standards
