Technical Writer

Responsibilities

Technical Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality instructional content, user manuals, how-to guides, articles, videos, and other supporting documents to clearly and concisely explain technical information while working closely with software development, quality assurance, and system analysis & design team to ensure accuracy of product descriptions. The candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. The individual must be comfortable in a technical environment and responsible for describing the software's functionality and internal processes and practices from an end-user perspective for maximum usability.

Responsibilities:

Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.

Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation·

Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.

Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation

Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.

Review and/or copy edit content developed by other members of the team.

Explore and select appropriate mediums and channels to disseminate the content

Standardize help content across all digital platforms and media

Study our in-house software solutions and collaborate with product experts and developers to write technical content

Make use of innovative methods such as illustrations, animations, charts etc. to increase users’ understanding.

Owning the quality of the documentation as well as help to improve the process of organizing and generating documentation.

Stay knowledgeable with the latest trends and advancements in language, product interfaces, and content development.

Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.

Plan and conduct training sessions (online and offline) for professionals.

Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.

Writes about technical subjects for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Updates, edits, and proofreads written materials such as product manuals, user manuals, how-to guides, and FAQs.

Ad hoc duties as required by management

Required Skills:

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail

Ability to understand highly technical information

Strong analytical skills

Ability to work under pressure both independently and within a team, in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments

Passionate about learning new technologies

Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and communicate them in an easy-to-understand writing style

Technical skills with taxation background will be a preferred
