Quality Controller

JOB PROFILE:

To review transcribed medical reports for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability, by listening the recorded audios from health care providers.

Familiarity with proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure as well as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracy.

Work with transcription equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing, and computer software.

Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provide standards and HIPAA regulation

Previous experience in hospital or other health care setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills.

Ability to work and thrive in pressure situations.

Punctual and reliable disposition.

Proficiency with EHR, Microsoft Office and speech recognition software.

REQUIREMENTS:

At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in biosciences (no studies in progress).

At least 2-year experience of working as a Quality Controller transcription in a healthcare setting or reputable organization.

Excellent listening and time management skills.

Excellent hand-eye and auditory coordination along with the ability to multitask.

Proficiency with EHR, Microsoft Office and Speech Recognition Software.
