MySQL Database Administrator

Job Description

• PureLogics is looking for an experienced MySQL database administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of MySQL instances. He will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances.
• Responsibilities
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on professional experience
• Hands on experience on Amazon Arduous and Amazon Aurora
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production database server issues
• Experience with clustering and master-slave solutions for database systems
• Understanding of replication and high availability tools and methods
• Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
• Should know Postgressql and NoSQL
• Experience with database indexing, stored procedures, triggers and views
• Experience with replication configuration in MySQL
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
• Strong ability to troubleshoot in a Linux environment
