Product Manager

Job Description

Prime Responsibility:

The Product Manager Labs will be responsible for setting the business vision, designing competitive marketing plans and exponential business growth strategies. The role is responsible for, but not limited to, HCP Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR & Social Marketing, CRM / Patient Support Programming and Consumer Marketing.

Job Description:

Develop detailed analytic/competitive research and necessary tactical information to support the development of strategic plans and programs for assigned product.

Develop key customer and thought leader relationships.

Educate sales force on product, strategy and tactics and support field requests.

Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

Stay current on new technologies and marketing developments in web, social, print, mobile, etc.

Develop product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.

Manage customer / consumer databases and operation of CRM programs.

Lead the execution of tactics in support of brand strategy through partners and franchisees.

Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, sales strategies and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.

Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules and deadlines.

Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Life Sciences (MBBS, Pharm D, Biotechnology etc. would be preferred) with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from a reputable business school.

Minimum 3 years of relevant sales/marketing experience in healthcare industry including experience in Brand Management/Medical Communication; Diagnostic Lab Business Experience in a large network would be preferred

Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategies to respond to unique or challenging market dynamics.

Excellent written and oral English communications skills.

Excellent presentation skills to diverse groups of all sizes.

Proven ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization as well as franchisee and outside constituents.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to leverage insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable market advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of reference and bibliographic software and creation of reference databases are essential
