Network Security Specialist

Responsibilities

Network security specialists shall detect, prevent and resolve security threats to computer networks. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the company's data and information systems. the main role shall be to design and implement new Network security features which will be helpful to the company for the reduction of CAPAX and OPEX

Requirements:

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field

Other Requirements:

A professional industry certification, like CCNP-Security or JNCIP-SEC, NSE4, NSE7, and CompTIA Security

Location:

Lahore

Experience:

4 years of experience in networking systems, information technology, or network security

Responsibilities of a Network Security Specialist

The Network security engineer will be responsible monitor computer networks for security threats or unauthorized users.

Will be playing a role to identify the security threats landscape for SME networks, and report on security measures taken to address threats.

The Network security engineer is also responsible to analyze security risks and develop response procedures. Additional duties may include developing and testing software deployment tools, NGFW firewalls, with UTP bundle and intrusion detection systems.

Good understanding of switching, Routing and Wireless network

Liaise with other managers to promote good security practices and explain security procedures

Must have hand-on experience in installing NGFW, SSO, EPP, and MFA authentication for SSL VPN.

Must know integration requirements with DNS, AD (For SSO) , SIEM, and XDR.

Level 2 Troubleshooting skills, including Wireshark trace, debug and packet flow capture. Preparation of HLD and LLD for new network security feature deployments.

Knowledge of NMS, FortiAnalyzer /FortiManager will be a plus

Requirements to Become a Network Security Specialist

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a computer-related field. Relevant degree programs include computer science, information technology, and computer engineering.

Applicants must have hands-on experience of working in networking systems, aspiring network security specialists should be knowledgeable in include NGFW, ISFW, SSO, users-based access policy, network access control (NAC) systems, firewalls, routers, incident response techniques, intrusion prevention systems, information security methodologies, authentication protocols, and different attack types.
