DevOps Engineer

Job Description

• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
• Build tools to reduce the occurrences of errors and improve the customer experience
• Strong experience with NoSQL (ElasticSearch), SQL (MySQL) (We also use Redis)
• A working understanding of code and script (Python, Shell, and/or Ruby)Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Deploy updates and fixes
• Assists in diagnosing and solving production issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Production Ops engineering on a data processing/mining product is a plus
