Summary
I am an honest opportunist who likes to collect as much knowledge about whatever comes my way. I love gaining professional experiences of every possible field that I can get into. It’s never too late for anything in my life.
So far, I have worked for a Real Estate Firm, Travel and Tourism Firm, Event Management, Hospitality Management Industry, Academic Consultancy, Clothing Industry (Retail Exhibit)& Stock Brokerage.
As of now, my only goal has been to gain as much knowledge about as many professional fields as possible. I do not rely on just academics as I feel academics are secondary in the real world. What truly matters is how enthusiastically and quickly you learn and apply.
I lived in the United Arab Emirates for 10 years and then another 8 years in Malaysia where I gained all of my work experience. I feel this primarily has enhanced my exposure and professional knowledge and has also moulded my personality into the confident and lively person that I am today.
Despite of the fact that academically I am not much of an achiever but professionally, I can move mountains.
My current job does not benefit me much in terms of growth and expansion but it has given me a basic idea of who and what I am exactly working for. I am trying my best to gain as much knowledge about my current firm’s industrial importance and position but there are certain bounds of my designation that I cannot surpass until I switch departments.
I feel my current designation is suppressing my curious and hungry for knowledge personality and given the opportunity, I would gladly switch and move to a department that would offer me more knowledge and insight.
Brutal honesty is something I have in ample supply. My honesty is the only thing that either gets me through a situation or into one.
In a professional environment, honesty is looked down upon and transparency has no value. This is one thing that I would like to change about the society that I live in. Hypocrisy puts me off and triggers me. Respect is of paramount importance in any workspace.
I feel consistency at a workplace is a two-way theory which means it needs to be practiced on both sides of the management.
When I moved to Pakistan and started working here, I realised that people lack professionalism. They are dishonest with their work and they do as they please. Diplomacy is something that is either in you or not. And there is a huge difference in Manipulation and Diplomacy which people over here fail to understand. Nobody here knows the meaning of grace and sensibility here which I would like to change..
