Responsibilities & Context
Senior Technical Officer- English Language will be responsible for facilitating the learning of English language skills among adolescents and youth groups. Will be involved designing and delivering effective lessons, assessing learners' progress, and providing constructive feedback to enhance their proficiency
Design and develop lesson plans and teaching aids tailored to the needs and proficiency levels of learners
Deliver and conduct interactive English language lessons using a variety of teaching methods and techniques, including lectures, discussions, group activities, and multimedia resources
Focus on developing learners' proficiency in all language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as well as grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
Conduct formative assessments to evaluate learners' language proficiency levels, track progress, and identify areas for improvement
Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners to help them enhance their language skills
Offer individualized support and guidance to learners, addressing their specific learning needs, challenges, and goals
Incorporate cultural context into language lessons to foster cross-cultural understanding and communication skills
Integrate technology tools and resources effectively into language instruction to enhance learning outcomes and engage learners
Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge
Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and stakeholders to promote effective language learning initiatives and contribute to a positive learning environment
Sign and adhere to code of conduct
Maintain deadline and develop progress report for the participants
Ensure proper use of teaching learning materials in classroom and maintain stock position accordingly
Identify the operational risk factors of the programme proactively and address those issues properly
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
