Translator/Interpreter (Teknaf Base)
Job Responsibilities
- Specific (main) Responsibilities :
- Provide oral interpretation from English to Bangla, and Bangla to English during training or workshop.
- Provide oral/written translation from the mission language to local language(s) or visa versa during activity implementation between Tdh staff and the local population
- Ensure accurate, context base meaning of language with proper understanding when delivered or received from other languages considering
- Reads through or listens to material in one language, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning
- Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialised concepts and translate them appropriately
- Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation
- Follows up with staff to ensure satisfaction and understanding
- Written translation of documents including guidelines, research tools, and technical materials
- Assist the Project Manager with organizational issues, staff meetings with stakeholders and maintain regular meeting minutes with documentation
- Maintain confidentiality during activity implementation recorded between staff and service receivers
- Other responsabilities
- Accept other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
INGO, Interpreter and Translator
