Manager WASH / DRR

Responsibilities

Proficient and responsible in developing WASH and DRR proposals as per annual work plan as required by funding agencies

Accountable for creating and delivering a winning proposal for each assigned opportunity and ensuring full compliance to Request For Proposal (RFP) requirements.

Be quick and thorough in developing response to Request For Proposal (WASH & DRR).

Identify WASH and DRR needs in potential program areas, based on learning, operational research, Coordinate & hold partnership meetings with INGOs and donor agencies.

Responsible for implementation/ Management of WASH/DRR Donor funded projects across Pakistan.

Represent at National WASH and DRR clusters and relevant forums, coordinate with implementing partners and other relevant Govt. & corporate organizations for effective linkages.

Identify learning and training opportunities & provide technical support for WASH and DRR project staff and work as a mentor and role model for less experienced staff.

Track the progress of activities, ensure the collecting of program indicators and provide on-time internal status reports and external donor reports.

Identify and monitor risks, constraints or escalating issues, and inform the hierarchy accordingly.

Ensure that all relevant data and information is updated, well organized and easily accessible and lessons learnt and best practice are capitalized.

Ensure that the minimum standards of humanitarian relief are maintained in accordance with the Sphere Charter and Red Cross Code of Conduct.

Ensure the development and delivery of qualitative and quantitative surveys(baseline, end-line surveys etc.) at field level as and when required Conduct regular assessment of emerging needs of the drought and flood affected people and prepare innovative concept notes/proposals to address the identified needs.

Conduct monitoring visits to project sites and individual performance management work plans

Responsible for preparing timely program and donor reports on project activities in compliance with internal and external donor requirements as per timelines

Provide strategic guidance to project team in developing and/or aligning program activities to meet internal and external donor goals and objectives

Responsible for preparing partnerships mapping and building improved coordination with project stakeholders such as Government Liaison Offices, PDMAs/DDMAs, and other agencies relevant for the implementation of the project

Ensure and develop accountability mechanism and tools being used by project beneficiaries and communities.

Complaints and Feedback logs are being maintained and addressed timely.

Develop monthly GRM report on the basis of field data

Promote a productive work environment with zero tolerance for verbal and physical abuse or discrimination against other persons on the grounds of race, color, sex or creed.

Develop WASH advocacy strategy for organization

Review, monitor and manage the budget allocated for the project and ensure budget is utilized efficiently in-line with donor requirements and regularly provide feedback on Budget Variance Analysis to track program spending/ budget with Head of Programs, Finance/Grant Unit and work closely with the partner on the same aspect;

Development of Information Education and Communication Material related to WASH and DRR

Coordinate and provide support to other team members of Program to ensure a common approach, synergy and sharing of information.

In consultation with the line manager, and support from teams develop quality documents/success stories/case studies on successful WASH technology models for presentation and sharing at various level.

Conduct lesson learnt workshop of different projects/program

Any other official task assigned by line manager.
