District Coordinator

Responsibilities

Objective / Outputs:

Develop coordination mechanisms with DHO officials (district/provincial) and relevant stakeholders, EPI Coordinator, Facility In-charges, UCMOs, LHSs and LHWs.

Ensure monthly review meetings between focal person DHO Office, UCMOs and EPI Technicians of health facilities (12 facilities per Focal person) to review project activities along with data analysis.

Arrange monthly review meetings between DHO and focal persons to review progress, identify gaps, decide corrective measures and follow up on action points.

Facilitate capacity building of health managers on planning, supervision and information management and share final training report.

Facilitate capacity building of available human resources for quality essential immunization and basic health services (vaccinators, LHS, LHW) and share final training report.

Arrange and document District level advocacy events (with religious leaders, political representatives, healthcare providers, line departments/press clubs)

Arrange and document Community Engagement Sessions in UCs (activating/mobilizing community structures, Corner meetings with key opinion leaders, community engagement sessions, village and UC level events)

Ensure delivery of IEC Material to community influencers/key opinion leaders, LHWs/CBVs, Banners for outreach and visibility in the community and Megaphones for social mobilizers to support community mobilization.

Supervision and monitoring of all facility and community-based project activities.

Reporting of the project activities (monthly /periodic inputs)

Deliverables:

Assist in planning, arrangements & coordination of capacity building for available human resources for quality essential immunization and basic health services (vaccinators, LHS, LHW). Monitoring and supervision of all facility and community-based project activities and supplies.

Qualification:

Master’s degree in social sciences/public health, combined with 5 years' experience in Health/Nutrition programs at management level. First university degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree

An understanding of working in Govt. sector and community-based project/s.

Well versed with IT based work environment.

Strong coordination and communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Fluency in English, Urdu & Pashto is required.
