Junior Sector Specialist, Bio-Pesticide (BRAC Seed and Agro Enterprise)
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct trials on bio-pesticides, fertilizer and PGR in the fields
- Collect data and analyse the data obtained from the trials
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and research institutions
- Communicate the results of the trials to the Portfolio Manager and other relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that the trials are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards
- Identify new opportunities for bio-pesticide trials in different crops and regions of Bangladesh
- Develop trial protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for conducting trials
- Conduct research on the efficacy of different bio-pesticides and making recommendations for their use in different crops
- Make report and share with supervisor time to time
- Act as a mentor to identify the development area of the team; make succession plan through coaching, training, counseling and feedback
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
