Responsibilities & Context

Ensure the conducting adaptive trials of newly developed breed from R&D and demonstrations feature to the distributors, retailers & users of exotic materials at different geographical locations throughout the country

Arrange comparative hybrid trial and testing for identifying the differentiation traits of the products

Guide the team to perform promotional activities like field day, farmers meeting, crop show, exhibition etc.; ensure variety screening demonstration of newly released varieties

Monitor and frequent field visit of regional PDS base area for crop performance evaluation and support PDS staff individuals for capacity building

Prepare and precisely analyse the portfolio wise crop data and sent to concern authorities/ management

Prepare annual budget for PDS unit; manage and control expenditure within the allocated budget

Maintain liaison with field force employees for classifying suitable farmers in suitable areas for conducting performance trail

Liaise with government, NGO, dealers' and farmers' association and other stakeholders for performing PDS related activities beyond jurisdiction

Ensure regular market survey and find hot spots of the source of variety and varieties of desirable characteristics

Keep up-to-date information about the competitive products of the market

Develop the professionalism among the team through training

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
